It depends on the forum, but personally I believe you should be just slapped with a warning.Is spamming the only reason for banning a member permanently on a forum?
Same, however with IPB software they already have an system built that stops. I set it up that you have to wait 30 to 1min to post another post. also it tracks emails and bad IPs that may be a spamI get very pissed off when spammers come to yours/my forums because of bad back-links and this is where the spammers come in and post a load of useless shit. I have experienced this on a older forum and due to bad back-links these different type of promotional spammers come in and spam the most stupidest posts that no one would never click on.
With my new forum if I see any type of spam like the ones I mentioned above I permanently ban them.
But i am a laid back person who gives people chances I don't generally permanently ban but I can not stand them type of spammers.
