What Camera?

Before you complain i will post this on a photography forum aswell 😛

I am looking to buy my first DSLR, i am moving on from a panasonic fz-18 that is now 2 years old. I am looking into a entry level camera that is less than £400.

I am thinking about the Canon 1000D or the Nikon D3000. I will be taking photos of macro's (I will be taking flowers) and People and maybe a few other things.

I will post some specs in a min.

I would probably get the Canon. I know those always have the highest rankings. That's what I would buy if I had the choice.

Get a canon. Best camera models going. I would recommend not spending anymore then £200 if that on a camera if you have never brought or used an SLR before. You can get them cheap on ebay second hand. Ive brought a few cameras and my latest one is a canon 300D which i paid £150 for.

I also say don't spend to much because you may want to take photos now and a few weeks down the line you'll be bored or fed up because you can get the right pictures.

So get a decent second hand one to have a play with as they are so much different then your standard digital camera.
