Just bought forumtips.net today and want to know what people think about the domain name. The domain is for a blog btw -😉-

No doubt .com is gone, but .net is still very good. Nice domain name, buddy!

WOW, if you get a high PR and loads of backlinks for that, you could easily sell that for big bucks

I think .com would be better, but .net is good too. Overall, it's a good domain.

Pretty nice. Short, 2 keywords, targeted well at your subject matter. I like it, 8/10.

forum and tip aren't good keywords. Though "forum tips" returns nearly 1.8 billion results.

The fact that "Forum Tips" shows up in Google Trends (http://www.google.com/trends?q=forum+tips) shows that it gets a respectable amount of searches, even though it's been declining over the past 5 years.

It doesn't really matter whether it's .net or .com, it's all about the content. If you can produce some good articles and post them regularly you're already set off on a good foot.

Just checked and "forum tips and tricks" shows up as one of the only "Suggested Searches" in Google, so make sure you use this to your advantage by applying basic SEO strategies. Stuff your Website Title, Meta Description and content full of "forum tips" and "forum tips and tricks".

Keyword stuffing will get your Google PR dropped, and may even get your site removed from the index as it's black-hat SEO.

No no, I didn't actually mean "keyword stuffing", what I meant to say was make sure they appear regularly in the right context. 😉

It was slang.

Nice domain, but as people have said above you'll have to create an active site that will provide the good content before it's really useful!!

Google doesn't pay much attention to keyword meta's nowadays anyway.
