Hi guys, as some of you may know, I am in the field of Ruby Programming (specifically Rails) and over the past few weeks I have really been looking at popular websites. Not just looking... but pondering the hows and whys that site became so popular.
Looking at a lot of sites out there (Twitter, Behance, BaseCamp (successful project management application), Evernote etc) I realize I am fully capable of creating these applications... only it's too late for those specifically of course. So I ask you guys:
What type of site/application would you for-see going big? Every site fulfills a niche. So what niche is there to be filled?
Personal ideas? Thoughts? Hints? Would all be appreciated.
I am getting with a designer this week and we have decided we are going to make some sort of application and try to monetize it. I am just looking for ideas at this point.
