In the inbound marketing world, we often say/hear. "content is king," but really, quality content is king.

In your own observations and opinions, to you, what is quality content on a forum/blog?

What must a topic or post consist of to be called quality content?

Please feel free to reply to this topic with information relevant to your niche to use as an example.

I am really shocked to see nobody answered or added anything to what you’ve said here buddy.
I would say a quality post is something that ads value to the forum and moreover to the question being asked by the original poster. If the question is for fun and the original poster isn’t looking for a specific answer, I’d say a quality post would be to explain the reasons behind your answer and part three to provide examples or situations with this. Basically take some time writing! It doesn’t have to be long.

All in all, quality is generally in the eye of the beholder; though it doesn't hurt to understand what generally is good quality content. I know over the years, I have generally tried my best to write out thoughtful posts, that try to stimulate thought or discussion. Doesn't work the best on sites that people there generally would rather post for the quick +1 though, as short posts generally take less thought to reply with, over something that takes a bit to think out.

If I were looking for quality content for Christianity Haven, I would want something that is at least a few sentences, would be a good conversation starter for the community if it's a topic and if it's a post then it has to relate to the topic, have good spelling and grammar, and has a unique voice, not an echo of what someone else already said.

If I were looking at Crafter Craze then I'm not as picky in the quality of the actual posts. Topics, kind of, but not posts and the reason is because people would come and literally just say Hey, I like that! And that's okay by me.

Oh my favorite!!! Content!!!

So, this is a strategy I try to get others to adopt... What you need to do is think ROI and CTA in every sentence you add. ROI is Return on Interest. CTA is Call to Action. Each sentence you make needs to grip the reader's attention. Each sentence needs to make them want to keep reading to learn more. Think of it like a best selling novel. We humans read quick and want information fast. But if we see something we like, we tend to slow down and consume more because it had turned our minds back on. Every sentence needs to matter. Otherwise, if one sentence is lame, it might be the one to lose the reader. And then they are gone.

Write your content... Read what you have written... Ask yourself if every sentence is awesome! If not, rewrite it. Perfect this and turn it into a habit.

Another tactic is lists... this is especially helpful for bloggers and article writers. Go incognito on Google and search for your key phrase. Let's say "trail running shoes for beginners" is what you targeting with your content. Type in "top trail running shoes for beginners". I notice there is a top 5, top 10 and top 8 on Page 1 of the SERP. But most every result has one thing in common: the word "best". So this is where you need to research. Open each of the "numbered top lists" Top 5, Top 8 and Top 10 and skim through them. Determine what each have in common and how each differ from one and another. Take notes. You'll want to create your article to be at least 5 more than the highest top number - so top 15 Best etc. Put similar content that is trending on your research but make it original and in your own words and try to add some new creative content that is unique vs. these other articles.

Hope my advice is helpful 🙂

High-quality content answers the reader’s question, solves their problem, entertains them or whatever other goal your content has so much they feel like they don’t have to go anywhere else. Plus having good knowledge of the topic at hand makes a difference and High-quality content is content written with a deep understanding of both what will influence the reader and what the business needs.

There's nothing more important than quality content, especially when it comes to online sources. It can really make or break an article. It does not matter how well your content is written if it does not contain original information or a different angle on the subject.

Quality content can be defined as the content which people want & that can drive sales for you. Content should answer to people's question rather being only promotional.

I would consider it to be at least 3 to 5 sentences to be good quality content. (This doesn't just apply to posting on my forum but when someone makes a comment on my blog.) It would also have to be something that is on topic and not something where you are advertising your own thing(s) just to spam it all over my site.

Quality content on a forum/blog is anything that's helpful to the people who are visiting your website. Forums and blogs are designed to give people somewhere to discuss the issues they're passionate about, and that means that it's important for you to make sure your content is relevant and helpful to them. This can mean providing links to other articles that talk about the same subject as you, but it also means making sure your content is engaging and interesting enough to draw people in.

In short if search engines index and start to rank your content means you are providing high quality and informative contents. There are many factors behind high quality contents .. few are here.
  • Must be informative and according to keywords.
  • No keywords stuffing.
  • Use similar keywords or LSI keywords to avoid keywords stuffing.
  • No long paragraph.
  • Seperate topics with multiple headline to understand easily.
  • Good readability score.
etc.

Quality content is informative, relevant, and valuable to the target audience. I appreciate it when content is well-researched, well-written, and provides unique insights or solutions to the readers' needs.
