What do you define as spam, and how do you stop it?

For example: Rofl, Lol, , Kewl, Sweet,Nice

God I hate those.

1 word posts, advertsing where they shouldn't, posting the same message in loads of topics is just to name a few that i class as spam.

Useless posts, 1 Word Posts, Lolspeak, Textspeak, Advertising in the wrong areas, Posting the same message in differant topics, Posting bad quality posts just to get the post count up.

I normally Try and fill the off topic area with enough Interesting topics so they dont need to Spam 🙂

I hate spam. I have created a forum on my site for spam where posts there do not count. if I see any topics that are spam I move it there, and if someone consistently spams in threads I'll warn them about it. 🙂

i agree with carmadmike i hate text talk posts on my forum or any forum for this matter -D-

On one forum I mod for, the owner added spam forum to so they'd stop messing with the normal topics. It worked for a little while but then they got so use to spamming that they carried it to other sections. Now we're having a problem with it.

What everyone has already said seems to be what spam is to me. Just taking a topic off track really. I can understand saying a brief comment but posting like 5 replies about something totally irrelevant ew 😛

Well, usually stuff like that doesn't bother me and I haven't really seen p30p13 t41k1ng li3k th15 but I see how that would get annoying. Heck, I get annoyed just typing it!

Multiple posts derailing a subject probably. But the whole "It takes one to know one" thing isn't working here. Haha.
