If we take a survey on what you eat while watching a movie inside the theater, I'm sure popcorn will be the first on the list. I am a popcorn eater and with a soda, that enhances my enjoyment of watching. There is a special theater here called Director's Club where the price of ticket is doubled at $10 from the usual $5. But the seats are the lazy boy type where you can recline it like a bed with a table on the side. And there is free unlimited popcorn and soda. You can guess that it's my favorite theater in the mall.
I don't go to the cinema much and when I do, I normally go before or after lunch so I don't eat much in the cinema. The last time I went, I just had a bottle of Fanta Orange.
Movie theaters have really rolled out a larger menu these days when compared to the old days. Now you can get pretzel bites, chicken tenders, and a variety of others things that weren't available many years ago. Me personally, I usually stick to candy for a trip to the multiplex. Raisinets, skittles, kit-kats, Twix or sour patch kids. If I am not in a candy kind of mood, I choose pretzel bites or mozzarella sticks.
I like popcorn but it always makes me thirsty and once it gets cold it doesn't taste as good. As for hot dogs, I've always had a mistrust of movie theater hot dogs. Not sure why, but I very rarely buy them. I don't do their nachos either. I prefer restaurant quality nachos with the peppers and olives added in.
I rarely go to the movies these days, unless it's something that I really want to see. I love movie theater popcorn, but combine that cost with ticket price cost, and I don't get it very often.
