What features/qualities do you look for in a potential host and why?

The main things I look for is solid reliability, quick support, speed, good uptime, bandwidth space and competitive pricing. For support- I really prefer the company to have a live chat system and 24/7, or close to it, support in case problems arise.

Security too. You don't want a webhost running outdated software that can be exploited easily.

I agree with all you have mentioned Cierra. Two things I would like to add is backups and additional "goodies". If paid licenses are included (Softaculous 1-click installers, Website Builders, WHMCS for resellers, etc) within your package, you're receiving some value for what you are paying.

Another factor to consider is how often they backup their clients' data (if at all). Expect the unexpected 😀

I'm not too worried about the 24x7 support because not a whole lot really goes on. 😛 I've been with my hosting company for a year now, and I have never needed tech support. 😛

Reliability, and if they're reputable. If they're not reputable and I can go to their competition and get more for just about the same price, then I probably will. Lol

For me, as long as the servers are working well and my site is facing no problems, I don't have any problem with the hosting.

Oh and it must be a reasonable price. 😛

list,

Security
Great Support
up time of 99.1%
the cost, of no extra cost
the renewable system
Hardware...

I am newbye, so i don't understand deeply about host. I already buy a host at stable hose. is it good?

For me, security, speed, and reliability are paramount. All else is secondary.

Unfortunately those 3 things are very hard to determine when looking for a provider, and most reviews are useless.

For me, uptime, speed, security and support is the 4 most important thing I look for. I also care about features they offer like free domains, SSL certificates or any free perks that they give you with your hosting plan. However, I don't mind paying separately for it so it doesn't matter if the plan doesn't include it but it would be nice to have.

The support and reliability are the best things. The price would factor in second. Of course, I'm assuming the hosting would be for websites that I'm taking seriously. However, a free account for some website to play around with wouldn't be a bad deal.

If you are looking at an unlimited hosting plan, exactly what does that mean? All unlimited plans have limitations – it’s just a matter of what those limitations are.
Are they the original hosting provider or a hosting services reseller?

Just choose a host who understands your specific needs, and who can sit down with you and talk about what your needs are, and how that host can accommodate for those needs.

there is no unlimited, it's just false. My hosting says that also but when I read my server resources it says like 1TB

Beyond finding which web hosts are out there, it’s a matter of digging through different plans, comparing inclusions, and checking customer reviews.

people don't forget the uptime to 🙂
