What do you requite from your host?

Hey I thought I'd ask the admins here what they want and what they requiRe from a website host for their forum.

I think he means that the packages a host has to offer should be totally free, and not a post 2 host. I think.

Me, I require decent uptime, plenty of features, friendly support staff (if I have to go to the support forum for anything) and that's mostly it. Oh, and a latest version of the software I would plan on using wouldn't hurt.

Well, I was on a MyBB hosting site once, and when I registered a board on there, it had an outdated version of MyBB, and it said that I joined back in May 2008. So that's why I put the most recent version of the software would be good.

Good uptime and support who know what they are talking about. Fancy features don't really bother me (auto script installers, FFMpeg and site builders).

Then we are in the same boat, but "fany features" can be good for people thats new to what they are doing.

Yeah they might be good for some people but for me, i would not be bothered if they weren't available.

Uptime is the most important, nobody wants a host who's always having problems with their server.

I look for how much space it provides. I am only on a free plan and have enough space for more than the forums I plan on making.

You can say that again, I am moving hosts because I am constantly having problems with my current one and it's getting pathetic. I'm looking for someone with good, if not great uptime, relability, and still be on Cpanel (or I could cheat and go back to like MyBB or something... ha ha.

Well, I just found out why we are down, so hopefully this'll be for the last time. I think I'll be patient and wait it out. Thanks though.
