What do you think about Zetaboards

I used Zetaboards for a while, and I had a bad experience with them from day one. Too many broken links, the forgot my password link didn't work, I'd been getting complaints from members who had email and PM notifications turned on that they weren't recieving mass emails or PM notifications. The whole lot of it was pissing me off, so I just packed up and left.

By the way, I have no problems joining a Zetaboards forum as a member, it's just not something I'd ever use as an administrator again.

Its alright I suppose. They should offer a downloadable version for people to host themselves like almost every other forum software in the world. Perhaps they are just greedy and dont want people to host themselves because they wont be able to tack on a leaderboard size banner ad in every header and footer of every page of every forum.

The advertisements they put on the forums are really annoying. Personally, I dislike their administration control panel. But I don't mind joining ZB forums.

The part I put in bold, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if that were true. And I agree, Zetaboards would look a lot nicer on a self-hosted deal then how they're currently doing it, because when you host it yourself, you can do like just about any other software and be able to do just about anything you want with it. Like if you don't want ads all over the place until you need to put ads up, you don't have to do it! One thing I did like about ZB was their ACP. I liked how it was laid out and things were fairly easy to find and use.
