I have not seen many good films that I have seen so far in 2022 that are worth saying. 12 Mighty Orphans is a very good film that's based on a true story that I do like watching, I'm not into sports but this was good.
I've got to be honest, looking though a list of the 46 most anticipated movies for this year left me completely cold with one exception.
The exception is Pixar's Turning Red for a whole host of reasons. 1) Because I've always had a soft spot for Pixar ever since Luo Jr. 2) Because Sandra Oh does a voice-over in it. 3) Because it tackles a subject that most film studios would run a mile from and 4) Because it appeared to be the only original film in the list.
I mean seriously, 1 out of 46 films this year that isn't a remake, prequel, sequel or franchise? Is it really that hard to come up with an original idea?
