What do you think of VanillaForums?

Honestly, I think that the software is great...however...

What the heck is up with only being able to have forums under one parent? It's awful. You literally cannot separate boards under different parents.

Instead of the usual...:

[cata]
[forum]
[forum]
<line break>
[cata]
[forum]
[forum]
[forum]
<line break>
[cata]
[forum]

On vanillaforums, you get...:

[forum]
[forum]
[forum]
[forum]
[forum]

It's pretty lame, I'd totally be in for using it. The SSO functionality with wordpress is by far nearly the best I have used. Unfortunately, vanilaforums is just an uncatagorized mess. Literally, if you could order your forums under parent catagories to separate them, it would be so beneficial.

Heh, I think it's too simple and rather undeveloped. I don't get the sense of community when it comes to Vanilla and getting support, I mean it's simple but too simple for me.

And the whole parent forums is pretty silly, I like to be able to separate my forums not have them all under one thing.

apparently they got a reward of $500,000

that's a pretty huge amount to some forum software developer with not much to show...they had better bring some big r&d with this

the software is very featureless

I also feel the software is very feature free compared to phpbb, mybb or most other forum software.
