Finding true friendships are hard to come by in this life. With that being said. What do you value the most when it comes to to having a true friend?

What I value the most in a true friendship is trust and loyalty. Being able to know that I can trust someone with with whatever I tell them is extremely important. Having a friend that is loyal through the good times and the bad times, makes all of the difference in the world. When the chips are down, you know that you have someone who always be by your side.

Pft I don't know, just accepting me as I am I suppose. Being able to have a good time while not even leaving the room. Being able to keep secrets, no matter how silly they are. Being able when you haven't talked for a month or so, to pick up where you left without a problem.

Well said. Someone accepting me for who I am is also something that I look for when it comes to finding a true friend.

A person who accepts me for everything I am, but is still honest about their opinion.

Definitely honesty, but also trustworthiness. I have several good friends that I love for who they are, but only one of those I would consider a true friend. It's important that someone can rely on you when they need someone to talk to and you're not going to turn around and go "Guess what...?" to your other friends. I have been told so many things in confidence over the years by friends that I would never tell anyone, but I can't say the same about them. I only trust that one friend completely to do the same in return.

I learned the hard way that not everyone out there thinks the same way. In fact, there are more people who are likely to be bad friends than good friends. They can't help it, it's the way they are wired. It sucks, but that's the way life is. They do have their good points though, otherwise they wouldn't be my friends at all. If you do find an extremely good and loyal friend, cherish them, because you probably won't meet another person like that. If you do find more than one, you're extremely lucky.

  • Space. I don't like clingy friends who won't leave me alone.
  • Honesty. I don't like being lied to. But thats life, we all get played eventually.
  • I don't like friends who steal from me either. Obviously they're not friends than because a friend wouldn't do that.
  • I don't like friends who talk crap about me behind my back.

The thing I value the most is someone who is willing to put the effort into a relationship.

Trust is the most important for me when it comes to friendship. I have friends in grade school who I treat as my close friends until now because I trust them completely. Same with them, they could trust me. With that mutual feeling, the friendship is genuine.

Reliability I think has been the most important thing to me. I've had my bestfriend for basically 15 years. I can count on him and his family no matter what. Through thick and thin he'll always be there. <3
