What does it matter if..

actually few are for these reasons:
1) it will cost millions of dollars to pay other countries to take some of the worlds most dangerous criminals
2) it would be stupid to put them with other inmates at a state penitentiary
3) it would be stupid to put them on a military base

and are you ever gonna read up on obama's buddies?

Those Gitmo prisoners are now US citizens with full constitution rights because of Obama. And they are definitely not in max. security prison. They are in a training prison for military police.

EDIT: Oops, typo.

No, they aren't US citizens, but they have full constitutional rights, which they should have.

Look at the UniBomber, and other domestic terrorists. They are in max security prisons, and I'm pretty sure a lot of Gitmo detainees are going to the SuperMax prison in Colarado, which no one has ever escaped from.

Everyone is entitled to civil rights, no matter what crime you committed. These terrorists deserve to have their day in court, then rot in prison.

They're going to somewhere in Wisconsin.

And day? They could get BAIL and never be seen again. I feel like screaming **** about the things that could happen and shouting that it's you and your God, Obama's fault.

basically you let some people go mainland and it cost the country millions and you say SOME of them are in the super max. dear lord stop trying to defend things that are dumb as hell. most of our intelligence comes from the fact that we can do whatever we want to them. they wont rot in prison either. thats a joke. there are lawyers and judges that dont want them to. on top of that your putting terrorists next to angry criminals who are upset they got caught. hmmm there's a nice way to recruit perfect people for it. this is the dumbest idea i have ever heard. get over your civil rights and shit. if they did something bad enough to go the GTMO, they deserve what ever they get

As I said over and over, I don't support Obama.

What federal judge would give a gitmo detainee bail? Are you really going to try that one, Nuke?

yes, because it has happened before and will happen again

no. it was before that. they lawyers gave a long speech about no bond being unfair based on our amendment against excessive bond (no bond being as excessive as it gets) so they gave him a bond and he got let out for a bit. defense attorneys are simply a group of moraless people who will do anything for money. not all of them, but most

This happened to who now?

Your paranoia about terrorists breaking out of maximum security prisons ( which has never happened before ) is just some sort of excuse to illegally detain people?

Torture doesn't work. This isn't 24.

It's not max. security...we're worried about the new prison for them, which isn't for the worst criminals.

Typical conservative arguement.

" Liberals don't understand the real world "

When you can actually give me a good reason to deny people civil liberties, I'll come back to this topic.

i never said liberals. i said you. you are one person that means very little. but you seem to think your more important, like you stand for all liberals. which is funny. the real reason is because it has saved thousands of lives over the past 8 years, and you love to overlook that. torture (unfortunately) works.

Torture has not saved any lives over the past 8 years.

The Torture Myth - http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/ar ... Jan11.html

The fact is that torture gets no one closer to truth, just closer to what they want to hear. I read an article linked by someone on my forum where an interrogator broke an insurgent by giving him a copy of Harry Potter to read. There is no gray area to protecting America where it comes to violating human rights and committing war crimes.

EXCEPT when G. Bush finds out that the terrorists are going to hit San Francisco. 😛

A nation of Christianity shouldn't be led by a practicing Muslim.
