What does the word Festival mean to you?

When you hear someone bring up the word Festival, what type of picture in your head does that bring up? What does it include?

Where I used to live, a festival was a big public event that included vendors selling crafts and other items, food trucks and food boths, carnival rides, games to play, bands playing and raffles.

Same here but they are very small as we live in a very small town.

The word 'Festival' has a very special meaning for me. I've been attending the same music festival for over 50 years, occasionally as a performer but mostly as a member of the audience. It's billed as a folk festival but the invited artists are usually extremely diverse.

When I hear the word festival I always think of a huge event with circus acts, stalls, food stalls, funfair games and such as well.

That is usually what we tend to get when we have festivals where I live.
