In the native Tibetan language, my name means “Everything is alit.” So I don’t feel like this at time, in my native culture, parents will name their children names with positive meanings in my native languages which is Tibetan, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian and Chinese Mandarin. I’m a native Asian do.

The name Chris is a boy's name of English origin meaning "one who carries Christ".

My name is Kathleen and it's Irish and means "Pure".

English form of Matthaios, which was a Greek form of the Hebrew name Mattityahu meaning "gift of YAHWEH". Matthew, also called Levi, was one of the twelve apostles. He was a tax collector, and supposedly the author of the first gospel in the New Testament. He is considered a saint in many Christian traditions. The variant Matthias also occurs in the New Testament belonging to a separate apostle. The name appears in the Old Testament as Mattithiah.

From the Hebrew name יְהוֹנָתָן (Yehonatan), contracted to יוֹנָתָן (Yonatan), meaning "YAHWEH has given", derived from the roots יְהוֹ (yeho) referring to the Hebrew God and נָתַן (natan) meaning "to give".

Well, my name has several origins in fact,
  • Derived from the Greek word "δεκανός" ("dekanos"), which means "monk or dignitary in charge of ten others"
  • Derived from the English surname, from an Anglo-Saxon word meaning "valley"
