What drives the most traffic to your website/forum? So far, mine has been scattered all over the place with no real leader. Google Searches, Bing Searches, Facebook, Pinterest and various other places. How about you?

In order:
Google/Search engines
Social
Referrals
Direct

However a majority of the search engine traffic is people searching the site name, clearly too lazy to just write it and add ".com" on the end 😛

That person is me 😛

Google searches for the most part. The overall ranking is pretty good, I think. Google is a very useful and powerful tool in getting lots of visitors and members. 😀

People learning to code. I don't really get much traffic right now but I'm hoping that when I add more tutorials Google searches will drive traffic to my forum.

Word of mouth and SEO.

I've never had any success from years worth of advertising, so I don't really bother anymore. Our expansion of active members continues regardless.

paid advertising if done right, plus organic traffic. Going after longtail keywords with big search terms and easy competition.

For my website its mainly google.

The rest traffic is from bing, yahoo and forums.

Honestly my social media networks bring the most traffic. I have a personal twitter with over 4k followers and lots of my friends via facebook help spread my website.

I have Wordpress blog and I used many seo plugin to get better position in search engines. These seo plugins are best because as soon as I make any post to my wordpress blog, they automatically update post to all search engines.

As for as organic traffic concern, I get it mostly by Google.

On my 3rd forum now. Google Adwords was my biggest draw. No luck with social media.
