Im not mad about anything I don't care about. I'll get pissed off if a series I like gets ruined but it doesn't matter all that much it's all about money anyway.

I don't know if I would ever consider a company "ruining" a series. I like change in a company. It gets stale after awhile if you rehash the same game over and over, unless you can pull it off like Harvest Moon.

Simple any RPG game.
There slow...
There boring...
I did fall asleep while playing one...
Most you have to pay to play a month 😛
That's not an RPG, that's an MMO. RPGs are a dead genre with hardly any major releases following this generation. Games with RPG elements are everywhere and you got your jrpgs but true crpgs have been long gone, even indies like spider web are turning away from the genre.

Exactly this.

RPGs are dead dude. MMORPGs are NOT slow and boring. They are ALIVE and thrilling.

I disagree, I've played some good RPG's that came out recently.

You don't kill off a genre by making sub-genres of it. Think of it this way. Games evolve over time. We went from 8 bit dots, to side scrolling, 3d and beyond. Genres will evolve over time as well. That would be like saying adding in mulitplayer functionality killed off RPGs. It didn't. They still thrive well in the market as MMORPGs. Think of WoW. As much as people hate that game. It makes Blizzard rich. For them to have as many players as they do. Probably more then any other game out there. It can't suck to bad if that many people play.

As for the person saying they prefer turn based rpgs, well they didn't die off, what happened was, the fanbase for them died off, due to different genres being created. The fans went to a new genre because the old genre wasn't good enough anymore.

I've never got to the point of breaking a controller because I was mad at a game. I haven't met to many games I can't beat. I might get stuck on a part or something. The only times I get mad at a game though. Are in FPS with hackers. They force me to leave the servers because I don't want to mess up my stats and don't want to get killed because some guy is in wall glitched out and killing me yet I can't kill them.

In sports games I get angry. Yet this isn't at the game, it is at the person I am playing because they beat me (when they can 😉 )

The fanbase didn't die off either. Turn based is still thriving, sure maybe it died on the main consoles, but there's still turn based RPGs on the PSP and DS

COD would have to be the No#1 game for rage quitting so im saying COD makes me the maddest.

I'm actually surprised my desk is still standing after all the times I got mad and hit it, I'd expect it to be in a pile of trash on the floor by now.

Is that a desk repair? If so, I'd be due for a visit right about now. 😛 Anyway, let's try not to get off topic.

Minecraft also makes me mad when you try to make something and it turns out nothing like what you imagined 🙁

Xenosaga 1. Storywise I love the game, but dear freakin lord near half of the bosses in the game made me rage quit.

Realm of the Mad God is a great game, but you're not going to believe how many times I've been urged to just scream over that game.

Yes, RPGs are dead. You can pretty much pinpoint the death of the genre to the release of Diablo, from which more action-RPGs have spawned and have replaced the genre. There is no such thing as C&C anymore. Tactics are gone from western releases. The crpg is dead. If you think there's no audience then just take a look over at the RPGcodex, the audience is out there. Developers just go for the action games nowadays and slap rpg onto the box.
