I use green for my moderator group and I use blue for my administrator group. These colors blend it with my theme I currently have on my forum.
Red is for admins (stands out and shows how important they are), Light blue for global mods, and green for events staff (below global mods).
I used blue for admins and green for moderators.
I use hot colors for groups that have moderation powers.
Admins are red, Managers are orange, and Moderators are yellow.
Everyone that doesn't have a job on the site, such as members and regulars, are just different shades of blue.
The one group we have that does have a job on the site, but no moderation power, is green.
It's a spectrum, which I think makes the most sense.

Mine are more neon colors neon blue, green, purple, hot pink, orange, and red
For my company board, the executives are a shade of purple.
The community team is a shade of green.
The developer is a shade of orange.
The "Retired Executive" is a shade of blue, it's like a dark navy blue.
The Collaborator group is black. 😛
All of the colors actually match the hex colors of the banners that appear below their avatar. I have a notecard with all the hex codes on them.
