They were the main competitor to Apple back before the internet I think. Anyway, they're either non-existent - or not a big name now. Well, the big names are Lenovo, Dell, HP, Apple - can anyone name more?

IBM is still in server hardware/product business. That is what I last heard of them. But yes, a few years back.

Lenovo is IBM company. Most likely even the Motorola maximum share would be from IBM too.

IBM is still a massive tech company with name value. They just don't compete against Apple and Microsoft with personal computers, like they did in the 70s through the 90s. You don't hear about them anymore because regular consumers like us aren't their customer base.

Their primary products are B2B -- enterprise-level products like server and IT infrastructure.

Actually not true, IBM and Lenovo are separate companies. Lenovo is a Chinese company based in Beijing, IBM is an American company based in New York. However, they do work closely together. In 2005, Lenovo acquired IBM's personal computer division, ThinkPad.

While you don’t see IBM personal computers around anymore, the company is still around. I regularly see IBM commercials on TV. They seem to do a lot of marketing as far as their role in serving businesses, which I’d say is similar to the direction that Dell is going in as well.

They ate Softlayer to boot. *snorts* I'm glad I moved from Softlayer before the acquisition. It was like... I had a sixth sense.
