I've started leaving the heating off all day and coming home to a freezing cold house!!!

Nothing particularly.

The credit crunch is put accross as if it's the end of the world, and whilst everyone needs to watch their spending I don't think you should stop using every day utilities such as Heating.

Basically what the Credit crunch is teaching everyone is to not take out loans for things you don't "need", and if you do need them make sure you can pay them back.

Also it is not just about taking out loans for things you don't need, it also has made people think about the difference between need and want.

99% of people can live with no problems if they just have things they need. People aren't really spending much less on the need items but they are spending alot less on the want items. Food sales haven't really changed much but clothes sales for example have dropped alot as you do need clothes but rarely do you walk round the local clothes shop needing something clotheswise... It is always more about wanting something new not needing something new.

Personally i haven't really noticed any change to how much money i have in my bank account (which is usually not alot although it is no lower then it was a year or 2 ago) so i haven't really cut back on anything. I do sometimes think twice about buying something but at the end of the day if i can afford it and i can afford all the rest of the "need" things until i get paid then i will buy it. You only live once and at the moment everything is on sale so if you wait until things get better it would end up costing more probably so it might be best to buy now.

I have tried to work out a combination to transfer currency to gain more money along the way, for example:

Euros > CAD > USD > Yen > GBP > then back to Euros.
I worked it out, I would lose 8.09%

~cry~

To be honest the credit crunch hasn't really affected me or my family 🙂

We haven't made any sacrifices or things like that.

I'll be honest, i say ive done the whole heating thing, but the reality is with all my momney in websites and all my loaned money on lower rates im actully better off!

Your one of the lucky ones then, with the 10,000's people losing their jobs because companies can't afford to keep them on, and then companies like Woolworths and MFI have closed down and its been said PC World and Curry's aren't far behind.

For sure, even the likes of M&S are discounting their brand to try and keep revenue somewhere close to last year!

We just started using the cars less, not turning the heat on if we don't need it, and just unplugging stuff from the wall.

I mentioned in another post i used to do Motocross, bought a van about 9 months ago, had it up untill about 6 weeks ago

Petrol was 105p+ the whole time i had it, the minute i sell its 88p and decreasing!

I think we are in the sh!t to be frank, if Tesco are losing revenue then it shows we're all stuffed.

My dad works for the metro, and that isn't going to go bust. I didn't think woolworths had closed yet?

Well they have been trying to get rid of everything, they have been giving out vouchers online and once their stock is gone from all the shops they will close.

That's predictable. Isn't it the same as sports and soccer? They did (I'm not sure if they still do) have 75% off everything

Never go to sports shops. Don't buy shoes from there, don't buy clothes don't buy kit for anything, also i don't think we have one here.
