I am one of those super anxious people, especially in real life social situations.
I use a grounding technique to help me calm down. If it doesn’t work, I medicate (prescription) for anxiety and panic attacks.
But the technique included finding 5 things I can see, hear and feel, saying them out loud, in order, then moving on to 4 of each thing and all the way down to 1, usually 3 or 2 I’m okay, sometimes I’m not.
