This is a question that I chanced upon in social media. And it made me think because it has a point. Yeah, what if there are no poor people? Who would be doing the dirty work? How would people survive if there are no farmers since all of us are farm owner? This is one question that is impregnated with thousands of questions and probably has no accurate answer.
The concept of you being rich requires that the majority have far less then you do in order to perceive yourself and have others perceive you as being rich. If everyone has a lot then no one is rich because everyone has the same or close to it. The rich will always be a minority group because the very essence of being rich requires it in order for the rich class to exist.
Some people like to farm and whatnot and would do it - even if they were rich and nobody else farmed. Maybe at that point, they'd see it as a necessary public service - like a volunteer fire department.
The only way to be equal in wealth is if there is no value put on anything, then people do what they enjoy and want to do. People provide a service at their own cost and everyone can pursue their dreams. Except, that can't fully work, since you need people to do jobs no one likes doing, like cleaning up waste.
If everyone was rich in terms of money, people would find other ways to be better/richer than another person through other possessions. Humans are strange animals.
With the current state of how things are, those who live in 1st world countries and already have it good, will cease to work, while the poor probably will enjoy spending the money on what they didn't have, till they need to start working again for what they need.
In the case of 3rd world countries, I think most people will find the money a blessing, and will still work regardless of having it.
