What is happiness?

Is happiness just chemicals flowing through your brain ?

If you want to get scientific then yes. If you've ever been depressed and lonely then things like Disney Land aren't going to give you a "happy" child like reaction.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that mediated satisfaction, happiness and optimism. Serotonin levels are reduced in depression, and most modern anti-depressant drugs, known as serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), act by increasing the amount of serotonin available to brain cells.

I can't explain what causes it, but being with people you love, especially your spouse - is happiness. You can find out that is that way - when the spouse is separated (jail, divorce etc..) or dies.

Happiness for me is making and turning your dreams into reality, being successful in your life, getting a job and marry, and taking care of our parents and your family in general.

This quote fits me & what I believe:
Happiness is not being pained in body or troubled in mind.- Thomas Jefferson

There are so many quotes but not one single quote is correct by the dictionary. Happyness can mean many different things depending on the person. For me it’s living everyday like it’s the last

That's mainly true. When I was married I thought I was happy. Me and my ex wife had our issues like any other couple. Then she came home and asked for a divorce. I paid for the divorce. I went through 10 months of non stop depression. I thought seeing other women would help. No, it doesn't fix it. I found you have to get over that one person first before you can devote yourself to another. It's a miserable existence. It was a whole new type of depression. One that I'd never experienced before. I think I'm still recovering and trying to be happy. But like everyone's told me. It just takes time.

For me is to be able to achieve your goals and share them with your significant other, have goals together as well and work to get them, that process is better than anything else!!
