High quality content gives search engines the impression that your website is currently updated and not stagnating. With that, your link will be a candidate for inclusion in the search list. The new content, however, should be original and well-written which means no misspelled words and no grammatical errors. Being original is unique and not copied from another site. Uploading new contents regularly will push up your position in the search list result.

Well, I was looking at one guy who was ranking and I'm quite sure that's what he's doing. In other words, he simply did a lot of brand advertising - until the point where thousands were searching for him and wala! He is on top!

Branding would just be long-term advertising that wouldn't pay off at first. Well, all ads, seemingly don't pay off at first, but with branding it really seems dumb. For instance, what use is a Pepsi ad? OK, we all know what it is, so why is it repeated everywhere, on everything? Well, the makers of the ad aren't dumb and in the end, they get millions in sales.

OK, other examples might be The Super Bowl or World Cup where 10 seconds of some silly crap costs millions - and companies will pay it!

I don't blame companies for continually advertising as it helps with two things mainly:

• It keeps their business in the minds of everyone much like subliminal advertising.
• It attracts the younger generation who may not have previously known about them.
