If you're not comfortable with giving an exact amount please post a range. The most that I've donated to a forum (that wasn't my own) was $10. Unfortunately that forum is no longer around. I really believed in that forum that's why I donated and became very involved with it. I haven't donated to any forum or website lately mainly because I currently don't have a job. If I really believe in someone's website though I like to give what I can to help it out.

What is the most you've donated to a website or forum?

Nothing lol. 😛 If I really liked a website I would donate to it but I think the chances of that happening is very slim and I have never donated because I think there is no website that I seen that is worth me donating to. I will only donate to a website if I really like it and they are able to provide me something unique.

I've never "donated" as such. I've only ever paid to be an upgraded forum member. The most I've ever paid is $50.

I've never donated either, but I've received a fair number of donations in excess of $100, with the largest being $360.

I'm surprised that not more people have donated. Is this a rare occurrence then you think?

I remember I also once donated $5 to Wikipedia just because I know I've used their website a lot and $5 isn't very much to donate one time.

I don't donate.

Maybe to ForumPromotion because they provide us with this awesome service.

I feel like my donation would go to waste anywhere else and the forum would just shutdown.

Majority of people do not donate because off several reasons:

1) They do not have the money to donate. When I had a few sites that had some members on there, I received a few donations that were above $50 by a few members. Most of the time, this members would also have the latest the games and technology. AKA they had a decent job and could afford it. If you make at least 2k a check then $50 for a website is nothing.

2) Donating to a website have no personal gain. Why donate to a site where the owner will only spend the money on something that I would not benefit from? I know plenty of owners who take donations and spend them on games, clothes and other things that are not related to the site.

3) Most sites do not need donations. They are either making money from ads (thus donations are not needed) or the website is going to be out of service shortly. They are some forums / websites that do need donations but a successful website will always bring in profit.

I donated between $50-100 to Outline during its prime and less than that to a few other forums. I only donate once I join and become a part of the community though, and I like being there.

i have never donated anything to a forum or website. Heck, I don't think I've ever clicked on an ad (deliberately) or paid for a subscription on any website.

I've never donated to a forum because I have no way to. Once I can though I'm sure I'd donate a few dollars to one.

I haven't donated to any site, there really hasn't been a site that I felt the need to donate towards yet.

I donated $1000 once to hackforums lol.
Just because I have earned tens of thousands from their forum

That's basically it. I've never donated myself, even when I have the money to spare, I often find the mechanism to donate hard to do.

I've donated $10 to a site, that's the most I have ever donated, and probably the highest I would go unless the forum is THAT good and I absolutely adore the forum. So it's the most I have and probably will ever donate.
