Thank you very much. I think other people do that too since you are not the first one. Things changed just some weeks ago so I guess it will be a little while before people get used to the new stuff.
By the way, even though we no longer have 'spelling and grammar' as criteria in our official reviews there is nothing stopping you from asking normal members to focus on that if you like or any extra notes to encourage normal members to review your place. 🙂

Anyway, once we catch up with the backlog we should be able to tag your request properly. ^^

Cryptonic’s Basic Review of What is the Wik
http://whatisthewik.com/

First Impressions
Upon entering your website for the first time as a guest, the first thing I notice is what appears to be a double logo at the top of the page. The logo on the left is pixelated and appears to be stretched to the proper resolution that the site requires. It is a very nice design concept and could use some improvement. The logo on the right gives me the same impression as the logo on the left. I believe that the site would benefit from just one logo, preferably the logo on the left. I do like how the three links on the top navigational bar are the most important links to the website and are easily accessible. Within those three links, you can find exactly what you need to know about the website. Moving down to the body of the site, you have the various categories in the body as well as the menu on the side bar. I do like this idea because if you enter a category or article, you can easily navigate back to the main page or another category via the sidebar links. One small thing that made me question the site was the main search bar and the secondary side bar search. Is there a need for the sidebar search? Once I got down to the English antonyms I began to notice a break in the site. The organization was nice and neat and became clustered and confusing. As I was looking at the footer, I noticed that the footer is neatly designed, but there was an issue with the pixelated images again. The social media images are just like the two logos at the top of the screen. Another question that came to my mind was the copyright and the link layout. The links were below the copyright and look like they were just pushed to the side. Typically, the copyrights are at the bottom of the website and the associated links are above or beside the copyright depending on the layout. Overall, I rate your first impressions as poor.

First Impressions Grade: Poor

Site Structure
Regarding site structure, I ran a SEO report on your site and the page level SEO score came back as a B- with a page level speed score of 100%. This means that the load time of your page is extremely efficient with some minor navigational warnings. Your guests base their first time experience on the first little bit of the page that they see. The most important content relating to the site must be on the first impression of the site to draw and attract guests. The SEO tool did not find any errors on your site related to SEO. However, it did find that there were 10 warnings associated with it. The 10 warnings can be found below.
H3: "About Wik" 9 characters.
H3: "Search" 6 characters.
H4: " Health (42)" 12 characters.
H4: " History (407)" 14 characters.
H4: "" 0 characters.
H4: "" 0 characters.
H4: "" 0 characters.
H4: "" 0 characters.
H4: "" 0 characters.

The SEO tool also found that you were using 4 nofollow links. The nofollow links can be found below.
http://whatisthewik.com/external-links/click1.php?id=What-is-the-Wik-Facebook
http://whatisthewik.com/external-links/click1.php?id=What-is-the-Wik-Twitter
http://whatisthewik.com/external-links/click1.php?id=What-is-the-Wik-Google-Plus
http://whatisthewik.com/external-links/click1.php?id=What-is-the-Wik-Pinterest

Your overall SEO score is an 82 based on the supplied information on the website. By raising this grade via your site structure can impact the amount of visitors you get significantly. As stated above in my first impressions, once you get to the English antonyms, it becomes very cluttered to the eye. If you can make all the following categories after the English antonyms the same category layout as above, it would be a whole lot better. The reason I say this is that I lost interest in reading the categories when it became very clunky. People are creatures of habit and like habitual routines. This means that they like to have things the same way partially. Overall, I rate your site structure as average.

Site Structure Grade: Average

Business Sensibility
In terms of business sensibility, it is not just about the business but also your customers. Some questions you have to ask yourself are why is this site here? What are my goals for the site? How can I profit from the site? What are my customers looking for in this site? What are customers looking for in regards to my business? To test a little bit of the business sensibility of the site, I ran a random page through multiple plagiarism checkers online. Out of the four programs I used, the average uniqueness of the site came back to an approximate of 97%. This is truly amazing because this means you took the time to research this information and create articles. I truly see a sense of profit out of this site one day when it reaches its maximum potential and visitor level. You can utilize the use of selling ads and gain profit this way. As a guest coming to the site in research of information, I want to know that the information is somewhat reliable. How would you go about doing this. Where did you find some of your information? I would put exclusive citations on the site where you got various information to verify the validity of the site. Overall I rate your business sensibility as average.

Business Sensibility Grade: Average

The thing(s) I like the most: Site load time and the uniqueness of content.
The thing(s) I like the least: The image pixelation and the clunky layout toward the bottom.

Overall Grade :

Overview:
With some adjustments such as the image resolution, site layout design, and overall continued effort, the site should be a hit in the future. Sites are extremely hard to keep active. Since you have more of an informational site, keep up to date on all the various articles as information is always changing and evolving. I like the idea of your site and hope that you find this review helpful.

Official Review of What was it Wik?

First Impressions:
When I first saw the name "What was it wik?", I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The very name intrigued me, and I actually clicked the link before I even decided that I was going to write a review for your website. The very name made me wonder exactly what the website was about, and it was enough to convince me to visit. When I actually clicked the website, I was a tad bit confused.

When I look at your header, I'm greeted by an owl. An owl is an awesome idea for a wiki logo! Owls symbolize knowledge in ancient Greek culture, and I can tell that you're attempting to draw the same type of connection. As beautiful as the idea is, the implementation could use a tad bit of work. As I said earlier, I love the idea of an owl, but that owl doesn't look that great, in all honesty. The logo looks very pixelated. I would highly recommend that you look at the Graphic Marketplace and see if an FP member would be interested in designing you a logo. It's an awesome idea, but it could just use a tad bit of touch up! Carrying on with the logo - the grammar could and should be a little bit better. Currently, your logo's text reads "Hi there, i'm wik! You can ask any term to me" - I like the name of the owl; however, the "I" and the name of the owl ("Wik") should both be capitalized.

Site Structure:
Overall, your site is structured well. If I was looking for specific information, it wouldn't be too hard to find. The search even works fairly well! Great job!

While I do feel that your website is structured well, it does feel a little over-organized; as odd as that may sound. When I first look at your website, I'm almost sucked into your organization. That's not especially a bad thing, as much as it's something that you can look to improve. Example: While it's easy to find everything on your website, it seems to be using up too much of your space. Especially after the "Social sciences and society" section, everything else feels like it's overdone. Just removing everything below that would make a much more compact website. You have a well-functioning search bar anyway, so you don't need to go too crazy with how many categories you add to your homepage.

Business Sensibility:
This is a tad bit of a tough category, since you don't have any ads or anything. However, you definitively have some potential here! The area to the right of "Technology" can be used to have a sidebar ad without being intrusive whatsoever. In addition, you could probably restructure your "What is the Wik" area (by moving it down a tad) and adding a billboard ad. Billboard ads are without a doubt the ads that will give you the most back. However, if you aren't looking to make money off this site, I don't recommend that you add ads. While you might be able to make a little bit of money, you're still a fairly young website, and it'd be a shame to have any visitors leave due to ads when you're not hurting for the money.

Moving to SEO: Your site could use some work in this category. Your meta tag needs some work. Google actually ignores meta words that it cannot understand. Words like "what is the wik" and "wik" will not be remembered by Google. I'd recommend that you just remove words like that - since they can't help you. The shorter the meta tag, the better. I'd recommend that you run your website through Google's Webmaster Tool here.

Poor

The thing I liked the best: The attempt that you made to be original. I like the owl!
The thing I liked the least: Honestly - the design. I didn't have too much of a chance to review that, but I'd recommend that you clean up that header.

I like the start you've made! As I said numerous times in this review, I really like the owl and the uniqueness that it brings. You have some things that you can fix on your website (namely the design); however, if you stick with the project, I think it'll go well. Best of luck!
