Anyway. So just over a year ago, in fact, the morning of Boxing Day in 2015 I was walking on the walking track that runs behind our house - I used to walk it daily, still try to get on there and tear it up as often as possible, when I was passing a garden to find a lady yelling for help. Everyone else seemed to be ignoring her, so I ran down the embankment next to the track and behind the trees where she was yelling from. She told me she couldn't get up, and being an elderly looking woman I thought it was pretty harmless so I tried to help her (which, became apparent was impossible soon after.) only to find she was covered in her own excrement. I used the excuse I couldn't get her up to put her down and told her I'd call for help - I also couldn't stay with her as the ambulance needed me to walk through a path between some of the houses so they I could lead them to her...

Turns out she was a crazy lady having a bit of an 'episode', in fact when the paramedics were asking for her address she couldn't even give that.

During a winter storm of last year, the town was suffering a citywide blackout due to all the power lines being down. There was a massive fire and sparks as a live line had fallen. It was illuminating the sky. I called 911 to report it.

I also had to call 911 to report a possible tornado.

I also called the non emergency number once to get an officer to assist me with unlocking the car.

Or to simple call and car services repo or highway repair or whatever the name is LOL

As for me, ever phone 000 or 999? nope 🙂 Other then non emergency for the police to come and arrested my next door neighbour two years ago

She was such an drunken person and likes to play music very loud at 2am to around 3am.

One night she came back and as she drive up on her drive way she smashed car into the wall and knocked it down and then you can hear the power of the engine and drive up fast into the shed. we then hear her being loud and that is when it started so bad. We had to get the police. the police came and she was being an dick at them and she was such bad that they had to get an female police to come and arrest her for driving and drinking, and property damage since it was a rented property.

My car burst into flames when I was driving it, around midnight on a spontaneous trip near the Salton Sea. Had no idea where I was, so the car burned for about 30 minutes before the fire department found us.

Voltage regulation from the alternator failed and the battery promptly overheated, causing it to explode. The whole vehicle was a loss. =\

I work at a retail store in a small rural North Carolina town close to a few tourist destinations.. a major highway runs through said town.. said retail store sits on said highway.. one night, round about 7:30pm a customer comes in and says a man was just hit by a car on the highway directly in front of the store. I immediately call 911 and they say "7 other people have called as well" so I hang up and head out front to see the scene... victim was sprawled out in the street as an ambulance pulls up and EMTs jump out and assess the damage.. there was a big blood pool forming from the man's head. They eventually get him into the ambulance and rush away as the local FD is spraying away the blood from the street. A few days later a relative comes by asking who saw what, I asked them how their relative is and they say they passed away at the hospital. End of story.

The neighbor's house across the street was getting robbed so I called the police. The robbers got away before the police came but I did describe the vehicle they were driving. I never did find out if they caught them or not. At least I tried.

That is depressing.
