What is your idea on a twitter like affiliation website?

I got a simple idea in my head. What if I created a simple & basic website where people could post their site's link and request to affiliate with others? A person interested could click on a "Affiliate" button; the person that was requested can then get in contact with the other person.

Ideas?

I actually think this could be really cool. I think if it had categories as well it would be easier to find sites to affiliate with.

I'd think this wouldn't be too hard to make, but if it got active it would probably not require much maintenance.
