It would need to be something that a forum, blog or website owner could see value in using UNLESS you just happened to hit one of their personal hobbies.Sites that can be used as resources for developers and managers. Hobbyist and definitely general forums will have a lot of trouble promoting themselves here.
The market here largely isn't people looking to join a forum, it's people like you looking to promote their own works, so you can't advertise here as you would most elsewhere.
