What linux distros do you use (if any)? I use Ubuntu and I really like it. Compiz effects are absolutely amazing. 🙂

Ubuntu. I don't see it as a Linux distro, as it is actually good.

Yes I agree, it is very good! Amazing actually!

Only one I use is Opensuse 11.3. I have tried so many and opensuse is the only one that works half way decent. Yet it still fails in so many areas..

I've used Fedora at one time, but having a hard time because I was a heavy windows gamer, I had to switch back to windows because of the gaming. If I had the hard drive capacity I would dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows 7.

Why there is no use in using Linux in todays world. Unless you like fixing issues, dealing with bugs, and hoping the next update is really an update. Or the pain that is called dependency handling..

*sense* and sure it does just wait for a week you will see what I mean.

I find using a Linux OS good for people who mainly use Web browsers like Firefox, Opera, Chrome since I used Firefox, Chrome and Opera on Ubuntu and it performed pretty well.

Linux Distros might be good for Internet Cafes which don't feel like paying the $100+ license fee for Windows, and the majority of people use computers for browsing the web.

I'm currently using Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Desktop edition. The startup time is pretty fast.
