Waking up to see the sun this time of year, for us it's a rare occurrence.

Nothing made me smile today. It was a pretty miserable day for me really. Hoping tomorrow is better.

My 3 year old made me smile. She had accidentally kicked me while repositioning herself and she said "Sorry!" and a few seconds later she said "I didn't mean any harm!" I don't know why but I was so blown away by that statement - I've never heard her say it before!

I along with my partner have just contracted Covid, something I've tried to avoid because I fall into the vulnerable category and because I've lost quite a number of friends and family to it.

I'm actually smiling because it's proving to be not much worse than a bad cold.

Today as I drove to the grocery store, a little boy who was waiting for the bus with his mother was waving at all the cars as they passed by. That made me smile.

Thank you. I am triple jabbed but the last two years have made me a little paranoid so it's almost a relief to finally get it and still be able to function more or less normally.
