What makes a good gaming site?

What Makes a good gaming site do you guys think.I Need some feedback to add to my fourm

What makes a HORRIBLE gaming site, is when an Admin is suppose to be a gamer; but makes a forum, and doesn't post anything. I mean, they make the boards, but no topics or good gaming discussion posts. I don't underdstand that ....

Try and find a catch, something unique. And not just a Halo 3 fanboy clan/board. Get something that any gamer, any system can take part in.

Don't just make the generic 5 gaming boards, and leave it at that. Ps3, 360, Wii, DS, PSP. Those can be found on any forum.

Gaming forums are one of the toughest to get going, they're 1,000s of them. and almost all offer the same type of discussions, but, have something unique to themselves, that keeps members active, and coming back for more.

Totally agree with you hcf, so many gaming forums new ones dont really stand a chance, but try to make something unique

Agreed with hcf.
Don't just make a general gaming forum. Make a forum about something specific in gaming like Sonic the Hedgehog or Resident Evil. Don't just base it on gaming in general; that's just making another addition to the 'Fail' list for gaming forums- and that's what all general gaming forums have in common.
