Just watch Star Trek: First Contact again. A great sci-fi movie, something I would suggest if someone is into sci-fis.
I think Replicators from StarGate SG-1 so more better than the Borgs, but that's just my opinion.

Watched two movies last night; Threads (1984) and Sucker Punch (2011).
Well yeah, two completely different movies. One is a powerful, disturbing, and frighteningly accurate portrayal of nuclear holocaust in a city. Extremely nihilistic but very good.
The other? It's as if Michael Bay cloned himself and had Uwe Boll raise Michael Jr. and gave him a camera, it would be this movie. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it, but it was the stupidest movie I've ever seen. It almost made Transformers seem like inteligent work. Almost.
Guess which one was which. 😛

Just got back from the new Pirates of the Caribbean.
Terrible, terrible movie, although I didn't expect anything more.

Watch Duplicity (stars Julia Roberts and Clive Owen), and The Warlords (stars Jet Li, Andy Lau, and Takeshi Kaneshiro).
The Warlords was great if you like historic stories like Troy, just for a warning, the ending is depressing (trying not to spoil it).
Duplicity wasn't bad, but I think its still worth a try seeing. If your into spy movies you may be into this one.

Just watched A Boy And His Dog (1975) last night. It's a bizarre post apocalyptic movie about a boy who telopathically communicates with his dog. Basically the dog smells out women that the boy finds and tries to rape. Sounds really dark but it doesn't take itself seriously and was really pretty damn good. The first movie... I was confused whether the actors were supposed to portray people with horrible mental disorders or not. If not... well then those must have been really cheap actors. Movie tried to be a horror/action flick/LOTR parody and failed miserably, but I still enjoyed it. Apart from the terribly long action sequence at the end just to pad out the movie, even though it was less than 80 mins long. Seems IMDB says it had a $3mil budget, haha original mad max was a freaking $300k movie they must have spent it all on blow & hookers :lol:
Second movie, classic for those who love the post-apocalyptic genre. Only really good madmax movie, 1 & 3 were both mediocre.

Beyond Thunderdome (1985)
Not much to say, other than a really stupid movie lol. It's alright but nowhere near as good as road warrior. Didn't like the whole tribal thing and Tina Turner doesn't really make a good antagonist imo.

Yeah I mean I thought the first part was alright but then they went all derp with the rest of the movie, making it seem like a bad Disney imitation. I heard that the director lost interest in this one after his friend died and he only directed the action sequences while someone else did the rest... explains a lot.
