What are good upgrades to offer on a forum in order to increase sales for account upgrades?
I added a VIP members group to my community, and I'm looking for ideas/perks to offer my members that purchase a VIP membership.
Since I run a poker forum. I do plan to run a free tournament for VIP members once we get an "x" amount of VIP members, but I haven't fully planned how I want to do it yet. The freeroll will reward real money to the winners, and only VIP members will get entry to the game. The idea is a work in progress.
I like the idea of offering a specific game to vip members. Perfect for your niche! Maybe add a hidden board for those VIP members, you could post links to other special offers or share updates about your site before they go live.
It depends on your niche. You have a poker site, you can give discount codes or free role coupons to your VIP users. I have mental health forum, I am thinking to give mental help ebooks to VIP members.
I agree with the hidden board idea, that way they can have a place to chat. A different colored username and tag showing they're a VIP member would be nice. Being able to edit their own profile title or to have an ad free experience. Maybe even some giveaways only the VIPs can enter.
What makes people want to upgrade there acount to VIP or whatever rank that you set up? I say most of the time, they want to support rather than the perks that you offer. I can offer over 50 perks and still have no one interested XD
