If you don't mind me asking, do you have a mental illness? If so, you can write about what it's like to live with said mental illness. If not, then in my opinion you should pick either writing about your personal life or mental illness as I think it may become a bit confusing if some days you write about mental illness (which generally requires a lot of research) and then the next day you talk about what you did that day.
Good Points Lunar. Yes I have a mental illness. I am diagnosed with something called Schizoaffective Disorder (combo of schizophrenia and mood disorder).
I think it'd be really interesting if you wrote about living with Schizoaffective Disorder, which I have actually studied. I think people would be interested in seeing what it's like for someone to live with this disorder. What they go through, what they experience and how they live with it. Good luck with your blog! 🙂
These are all good pieces of advice. The main thing as mentioned earlier is to blog about what interests you. In all honesty it's difficult to monetize your blog if you're just starting out, so i would use it as a hobby that you could perhaps parlay into a source of income later on.
Thanks for the advice. I'm not looking to monetize it as of yet as I don't have the reader base yet, but I hope I can one day make a little bit off of it. Thanks.
