Do you mean types of sites like blog, forum, cms, static site, and magazine style site to run for profit, or category of sites to run for profit?
I most likely start a blog, forum and static website about saving money, credit cards, loans, prescription drugs, insurance, fashion, celebrity gossip, or finance if I only cared about making money since I read these keyword categories have high paying advertisers, and affiliate programs where you can generate a lot of money if you have enough traffic.
Yea I mean a site that you will want to run for profit, for example like wallpaper site and sell wallpapers, arcade site, and etc.. Those are common scripts I am talking about something unique.
I think he was referring to RSS Blog and forum feeds like those Autoblogs which repost other people's content when they publish it, so the autoblog owner can just sit back and relax while their autoblog just scrapes other people's content.
I think the point of scrapers is to make your forum, and blog look less dead or active by just reposting other people's content, and hoping people will click on your Adsense ads once they get bored of your forum or blog since a lot of autoblogs which I visited via Google are not very well designed, and use bad looking templates.
Most Scrapers don't ask for permission from webmasters. They just scrape whatever that they find which is suitable for their blog/forum's category.
I read a twett from a Google employee named Matt Cutts who is the head of the web spam team on Google asking people to report scraper sites since Google classify Scrapers as a form of web spam since scrapers just repost duplicate content. Scraper blogs also seem to get lower rankings compared to real blogs in most cases in Google.
