What software to use for role play forum?

Stuck between the following three software.
This is my first crack at a role play forum. 😉

1. PhpBB
2. MyBB
3. XenForo

I already own a XenForo license so the cost of XenForo isn't an issue for me. 😎
Also, please explain why you made your choice (vote in the poll then post below).

Finally, what mods will I need/would you recommend?
I am aware that certain role plays need specific mods.
Such as multi-user mods, etc. All this is new to me. 😀

I am steers towards XenForo because I love the software and it has great SEO. 😉
But will it serve in my best interests as the software for a Role Play Forum or not?

Xenforo is a little too simple for a role play forum depending on what you want on it.

PhpBB is getting a bit outdated these days.

I would try MyBB.
