I do not know if anyone here has ever ran into this but I figured I would bring it up. Have you ever found a domain like on a free forum or blog that you liked? Then when you do a domain search you find that the domain is not registered and available! I am at a dilemma because I have found one thats the name of another site but they have not registered the domain! What would you do? Is this copyright infringement? If I decide to register it.

What if the name is copyrighted but there is no actual domain registered?

If it is using a free forum or blog then I highly doubt that the name is actually copyrighted.

They're using awesomeforumdomain.proboards.com for example and awesomeforumdomain.com is available from what I understand.

If that's the case than why wouldn't you register it yourself? The only reason would be if the name is copyrighted. Make sure it isn't before you do.
