In my experience, I make most of my money from my computer and web design help websites compared to my entertainment forum.

I think it is best to pick a topic which you are most passionate about, and have some knowledge in, so you are more likely to work hard at growing your traffic and content for your website.

But, I read online having a high traffic website about insurance, personal injury lawsuits, credit cards, vacations, college education planning and financial help can earn a website owners a lot of cash since affiliates and advertisers are usually more willing to pay more for ads. However, these website categories are probably highly competitive from trusted websites like visa, mastercard, state farn, etc.

Of course writing about a topic when your main focus is making money and not because of your passion varies on how good it'll be.

It generally goes two ways, either;

1. Your post will be really good because you're using all of our writing techniques to add keywords and make it as interesting as possible.

2. You are driven by money and not by passion. You're writing style reflects your attitude..

Anyway, back on topic.... 😀

Just before the iPad came out, there was one post from a certain blog (can't recall the name) that gave "8 Things That Suck About The iPad", I spread across the internet like wildfire. So if your interest lies with Technology, then your best bet is to try and discover the latest news and post it. Then spread it across the internet, and BAM. You have an amazing amount of traffic, income and loyal readers!

In theory anyway, it takes years to perfect a technique that works..

Depends on the niche, and your promotion techniques, and the content you provide. If you don't have a good combination you're doomed to fail.

Indeed, Micro Niche sites are a good way to earn revenue as long as the content is great and you find ways to tell people about it, so they link to your site.
