Hello, currently I have a computer security blog that I run, ad free for now. Reason is, my blog is about protecting users from malware/scareware and things like that, while half of the google ads related to malware protection are scareware. What would you reccomend I use for ads? I've been thinking of signing up for a few anti-malware program affiliate programs, like AVG, Norton, etc other trusted and secure brands, and just relay on my readers buying the Protection software.
You can use almost any type of ads you want, as most will relate to your forum's subject. In your case, any ad publisher would be fine for you. AdSense, AdBrite, Bidvertiser, etc.
I wouldn't recommend any advertisement network at all if you are wanting to have protection software as your aim because some ads will contain spam or fake sites. You would be better off being choosy and going for affiliate programs with the brands for protection software or make sure that your chosen publisher has protection software ads in their network and to request that any 'bad' advert to be blocked from your advert spaces.
You could go with other ad services, even adsense, but make sure you block all sites that you don't want advertised (Adsense has this option). I'm not sure how long that could take, or if it's just a few simple steps to do so, but that's an option for you.
Thanks for your suggestions guys, will most likely go with a few affiliate programs for trusted security software. I would try adsense, but since around half of the ads are in fact fake/scams for the malware niche, I don't really want to go through that -razz-
