What was the first computer that you used? Do you remember using it? Do you remember how you felt when you used it for the first time? My first computer was a Gateway computer. The company doesn't exist anymore, but I remember using to go on my dad's email to email my friends and play computer games like Freddie, The Fish. I don't think I used computer's as much back then. I started using computers in the early 2000s when I started kindergarten. The computer was chunky compared to computers today. Our desktop at home is like a thin screen, but our old computer had a large screen, and I'm fascinated when I think about the differences. I look at old technology and think, "Hmm, we progressed so far." It's honestly unbelievable.

I don't remember the make and model of the computer first used, but the first OS that I used is BASIC. It was in my primary school when I used to compile basic programs to run on the computer. The first GUI that I used was Windows 95.

Years ago when I was so young. And very old PC that didn't even had an OS in it back then

It run off floppy discs and it was very very big. then after that I had an windows 98 that my grandpa used then one day it went bomb as it was so old it had to go then moved to an HP 5500 XP

Here goes the old timer again. The first computer I used was an IBM S/370 running under DOS/VS as the operating system. Then our office bought an IBM PC XT for the lab to serve as our learning tool. It was running on DOS but diskette-based, the 5-1/4 floppy. An improvement after a year, we had the IBM PC-AT which used the same floppy but with a larger capacity. I guess that's enough history for now unless you want more.

My first computer was actually a Toshiba Pavilion, back the when i got it, it was really impressive in its feature and the battery life was good too. It solved all the basic needs i need it for at that time and also satisfied my gaming needs. The Toshiba laptop has since seen better model and i have upgraded as well.

The first computer that I ever used was an IBM desktop computer way back when I was just a kid. It didn't even have an operating system. It was big and ran on floppy discs. I had a few old school PC games of floppy discs that I played on it. There was no Internet back then.

The first PC we had that I can remember was a Pentium III Celeron (800mhz), 64mb of RAM and a 20gb HDD. All of that screaming fast hardware operated by Windows ME.

... it was broken a lot.

If you mean the very first computer I used, it would have to be in the computer room at my elementary school. While I'm not certain on the spec, I would hazard a guess at a Pentium II with 128 MiB RAM.

An IBM Aptiva with Windows 98 SE was the first I ever used. It was rather... crap.
