What was your first job when you started working? How old were you?

I worked at Walgreens as my first time job during high school and was allowed to work during the day and afternoons. I was around 16-17 years of age at the time, and had fun working there at first. As usual, I just started to dislike it and didn't enjoy it as much. I worked originally 12 to 4 and then 7 to 11. After I graduated HS I stayed on there for a few years. I worked usually morning and evening shifts then.

I starting working in car detail when I was 16 years old for Ford. I temporarily worked a second job at a local pizza restaurant when I was 18 so I could have some more spending money.

I recall a car place worked with my high school at one point. It'd be a good stepping stone for the student for sure.

It was the one job I was always good at. I'm still friends and co-workers with my mentor. He still works in the detail department. We've known each other for 20 years now. It's hard to believe how long it's been. I was only a kid when I started working under him back in 2004.

I left school in 2009, about a year early and started my first job in December of 2009. Well, worked for two days then it was Christmas Xd then went back to work a week after when the store opened. Six to seven months I was there for till I left and went to college. End of the day it was cash in hand and I was a dog slave to them. Meaning they used me more than they should and they never had to pay me as they want through a different system to hire me. It was a hospitality food shop

My first job...was working in a window factory and I'm still there after 8 years...I was 25 at the time.

Working for the school system between my Sophomore and Junior year of high school during the Summer, did software updates, defragging, and helping do whatever with the wiring.

My first job was as a secretary for an office in the school district. It was part of the work program... I interviewed at one place before that position and didn't get the first one... but the 2nd one loved me! I only worked there for a year as it was a high school position. I loved it quite a bit.

I am actually trying to get into a similar role as due to so many health issues working a job that requires standing all day is rough. I am working with my state Voc Rehab and was supposed to be volunteering at a place to gain office experience. I just never set up a time or date to go for orientation or so.

An office job sounds nice every once and a while. I'm sure standing all day is rough! D:

Oh yeah, my first job being retail sucked due to standing plus other issues with customers and sometimes management. I got used to standing and my feet hurting after while, but ouch. I never understood why jobs cannot allow people to sit down.

Exception of babysitting as a teenager, my first ‘real world’ job was in a factory collating. Was funny because I didn’t know what collating was lol I had to put papers together in order.
