Consider your current hosting service or domain registrar/or both.

What would they have to do to make you want to leave them? What would have to happen to be a final straw to make you migrate away on that day?

Up their prices, lower their standard of service and stop providing excellent customer support. If they did that I'd leave.

I don't mind price increase when it's justified. My host did it recently, due to cPanel's increase. So I totally understand that. What would make me change is continued downtime.

I've been thinking about leaving Ionos, and the reason is because you can't use free SSL certificates. They charge you for them and you can't use ones you've got elsewhere. They also don't have free mail either. Their prices are sneaky too, I'm definitely paying way more than I have for hosting. Once I add up the renewal fees for the ssl certificates and even hosting it's well over $150. Not to mention they charge me $40 to renew my .com domain I have with them. I have Hostinger and once I'm feeling better I'm going to switch all my current websites hosted with Ionos over to Hostinger.

It seems that price is an important indicator. It is good to pay attention to things like renewal fees and the provider's history of price increases when making a purchase.

If I had to leave or go elsewhere then,
  1. Support is not that great and is getting worse
  2. Price point, asking too much of what others offer
  3. their uptime is not 99%, it's always going down
  4. they not offering what I want or taking it away
Anymore?
