What would you do if...

You started a new forum late one night, and got everything set up. You head off to bed slowly, and go right to sleep. You awake the next morning to find that your site is an overnight success, with well over a million memebers. What would you do?

Lol, I know this is kinda random, but really, how would you handle it? Id probably freak out, and then try my best to figure out how it happened. From there id start by replying to all the intro threads x.x

Of course I doubt this could happen, but assuming it did...id be rather creeped out as well. Id figure you guys spent all night making spambots >.>

I think the first thing i'd do is check i'm not dreaming. Then check the domain name to see if it's actually my site, log in, go to the admin panel and double check it's my site ~lol~

Then God knows what i'd do, welcome all the members...put up some advertising...promote the site etc etc ~smile~

I'd probably do loads of checks , check if im on the right site , login , check admin panel if all works i would probably laugh at first then shout and have a tommy tank -lol-

And then start working on promotion , topics and advertising 🙂

I would most likely download an SQL Backup, before I jumped for joy. It would really suck if all those members disappeared if something happened to the server. After that I would welcome them, and sit back for a while. Considering how much time I have put into my forums (even old ones) I think that there should be some time where I don't have to post every time I'm online (but I would surely go on there and post). I hate admins who never post.

This would be great, i would do all the checks to see if its mine, check if the members are spambots or not then do a backup -D-


I would have to try and start welcomeing members, adverting the forums and advertise for staff lol -lol-

I didnt even think about doing a backup, though now that you said that im sure I would at some point. Like efc said, id need to find out how they got there as well lol.

I'd drop my pants, run around the garden naked. Have a wash (grass stains are never good). Log back onto the site, get some payperclick advertising. Tell everyone how lucky they are to be there and zoom i'm done.

I'd have a glass of champagne just because, i can.

I would adjust the hardware facilities immediately to the new traffic, but before it I would check my log-files very carefully. I also would perform a link- and referral check and I would check from which source and from how location the members came from. ~cool~
