Well, I am about to go on and plan and hopefully create a forum about music, but most music forums don't have any staff or groups like package team, graphics team ect.

So I was wondering, should I create groups/job roles for a music forum?
Thanks.

You could have a chat room and have a chat room host who does quizzes and things 🙂

You could have a:
-GMod Team
-Contest Team
-Forum Moderators (for specific forums)

Well, thats pretty much what I could think of.

Admin, Global/Forum Moderators, Reporters/??? (Front page writers), Loyal/VIP members.
You don't need too many.

You definitely need a good Admin and Moderators if your forum is to be successful. The idea of offering services is a good one, if your target audience is new bands. Many of these bands will not have access to graphic design skills or the money to pay for them. They may be very happy to participate on a forum where they can get some graphics for their web pages, social networking profiles, etc.

If you have a generic name for your site or a very brandable domain name you could even offer your members a sub-domain and some hosting, for their own promotional sites.

Good luck with it.
