BeatdownOnline
Reputable
I started my MMA-themed forum back in February, and we've had little legit member signups since then and the activity is from the same core of members (mostly staff). Here's a little timeline for clarification:
-Forum created on myfreeforum.org to see if the idea would sink or float
-I invited some friends from UndisputedOnline.net, a UFC gaming website, which is very very similar to my niche. 4-5 quality members joined.
-Forum seemed to be doing well, bought domain and hosting plan
-Spread the word to real life friends, 3 or so quality members from that
-Continually spread the word irl, and on UndisputedOnline.net and I have the link in my signature on mmaforum.com, possibly my biggest competitor, where I am an active contributor
We've grown at a decent rate, we have 99 members right now, the majority joined on the night of a PPV event, and almost 3,000 posts. However, we only have around 5 active members, 4 of which are staff.
I'm utilizing the features on FP currently (waiting on 2 requests), but what else can I do? What do you guys suggest?
Side-note, I also own naturalborngamers.net and a user click-bombed my ads and got my AdSense account banned. I sent a level-headed and detailed appeal, and even included the IP of the offender, however my appeal was denied. Currently, I'm using bidvertiser, but the results have been terrible so far.
