Alone at night? would you prefer to watch horror movies? can you recommend some of the horror movies that scared the hell out of you?

From what I remember, the movie that scared me most was The Exorcist. Linda Blair was the girl possessed by an evil spirit which was being exorcised by the priest played by Richard Burton. That scene was very scary. In fact, the screams of the audience in the cinema was deafening. I don't think I could watch that movie on tv at night. And watch it alone? No way. I could have a heart attack.

Not the walking dead.. LOL that's more like drag out

Yeah! I like that movie. I agree it's scary but not that much to me haha
I like the part that she rotates her head. I really remember the time when I watched in the movie house the reactions of other people watching is fascinating, they were really scared as hell. Good horror movie though, and I think the level of scariness was alike with the movie Insidious.

I'm more of a fan of the Halloween series with Michael Myers in them and the Paranormal Activity series when it comes to horror movies.

In the past, it was the 2003 Chainsaw Massacre remake that gave me the creeps.

I have always found the Conjuring Series to be very creepy, so it's going to be The Conjuring (2013) release that's going to be the best when it comes to the most scary horror movie for me. It's going to be followed by The Exorcist.

The Exorcist. It will always be one of the scariest horror movies I've watched.
I think I'd have to put IT on that list too. I have a fear of clowns now after watching that movie.

Of all the scary movies I have seen I would have to say the one that scared me the most and even left me worried about going in the bathroom on my own was Stephen King's IT.

I haven't seen the newest one but many have told me that the newest on is not as scary as the first one.
