I am asking because I do not have experience using cloudflare.
But I have seen websites using it and it is making life a little harder.
Like here at FP. Every day when I visit this forum, it shows a screen to "verify" my connection which is becoming annoying.

Also, it seems that my hosting provider started using it and now I am having problems with my FTP program. It is disconnecting while I am uploading files
and many times it destroys the files when the upload is interrupted.

Anyone else having similar problems?

I don't think there's a definitive answer.

The reason you are being verified here is because Cloudflare is protecting the forum against DDoS attacks. Without it the forum might well be unreachable. From that point of view it's a lifesaver.

Personally I don't use it because I've found it can on occasion degrade performance plus I have a number of privacy concerns.

Cloudflare is awesome, especially given the fact that their basic offering is free. They’re also a handy domain registrar nowadays. If you’re using CloudFlare anyway, it makes a lot of sense to have all that located in the same space.

I use a VPN, and it seems like CloudFlare gives me a little more trouble because of that. I’ll have to verify my connection more often. It is what it is, unfortunately.

Cloudflare I have been using them as a client for seven years and in fact with the free account, Never paid 😛 comes and goes like anything else but they have always been good from the start and still rocking it to this day.
