To successfully promote your website, you have to have some sort of basic promotion strategy. Whether it's only posting links in directories or shelling out some major money for paid ads, everyone has a strategy to an extent. Every strategy will have some pros as well as cons. What is your promotion strategy? How is it working so far?

Hey, John! I'm a newbie in forum making. But I've got some experience in advertising and business starting. I've got some another projects and doing a forum right now

My plan is simple. My forum have no specifically theme, it's just about everything. And guess who do I need? That's right. Everybody 🙂

But. First of all. I need some girls with a specific girls' talking. U know: fashion, men, etc. Girls we'll take on Instagram. I think to do some forum challenges via popular Instagram pages with a few prizes.

If we have a women, we can easy bring men to forum. In a same time with Instagram challenges I planning to take cute girls and make them do periscope translations. Where that girls gonna send guys to my forum.

That's my plan. In theory it's nice. I will see it in practice this month. Your turn.

I try and put my forum out there on as many site as what I can, I would also try and get members to invite others that they might know. New members seem to integrate into a new forum better if they at least know one other member.

That's one of the more interesting strategies I've ever seen. 😛 Mine is mainly spamming advertising topics, telling people about WF, and using hashtags on Twitter.

Same and sadly it's a longer way. Aren't going so well with that..

I mostly work on forums to get visitors on my website. Forum promotions along with social networking are good ways and I do get good visitors for my website.

Well I actually thought having an open forum covering just about anything would be a different way to go as I have never tried it before. However I am really battling to get people active so if any of you guys would like a neat place to just hang out I sure would appreciate the traffic

I think the most important thing to have is content. Its all great to be able to have new traffic come to your site but you have to be able to grab them when they get their to make them want to register and start posting and adding more great content to the community. This is what I will be focusing on now since I am new!

I've just joined here as I started a forum a few months back - content is definitely key. I've got over 300 users signed up but due to lack of content, I'm not getting posts. The users will all be emailed with a forum update once content has been added.

One of the main reasons I get users is because I operate a support forum for an established business that links to me on their site.

What kind of content do I need if my forum is regular? 😀 It's not about games or food or something special. It's about everything!

I'm a newbie and lack of expericence on SEO. So i have to gather knowledge from Internet and found out you must have a stability SEO. Or you can use paid traffic. Second, you have to up content everyday. If not, your site will be down

I also need the information from the forum it benefit me from the post of member
